Founder Jeffrey Lowe is a business lawyer, and has a business degree from the University of British Columbia. Jeffrey S. Lowe, Immigration Lawyer, Barrister & Solicitor, heads both the above service areas of Lowe & Company.

Lowe & Company was founded in 1990 with a mission:  To be a bridge between Asia and Canada, helping Asians to immigrate and do business in Canada, and to help Canadians to come to Asia to do business. To that end, we have staff from Singapore, Brunei, Hong Kong and Canada, and we service our clients in Mandarin, Cantonese, Fukien, Teochew, and Malaysian, as well as English. Over the past 15 years, founder Jeffrey Lowe has acted for hundreds of clients from over 18 countries, and traveled extensively throughout Asia.

Jeffrey S. Lowe is a 3rd Generation Chinese Canadian, and has been a practicing lawyer since 1983. He was educated at the University of British Columbia, located in Vancouver, B.C., where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce as well as a Bachelor of Laws.  He has in the past been involved in various community groups, including the Chinese Cultural Centre, SUCCESS, the S.J.Lew Chinese Language School, Lung Kong Tien Yee Association, and many other associations in the Chinese Community.

Mr. Lowe is also an active member of the Vancouver Chinese Christian Church community.  In addition, he has acted as counsel to many churches in Greater Vancouver, some of which have congregations which exceed 1,000 members.  Because of his work with these groups, Mr. Lowe is keenly aware of the social, cultural and spiritual problems and issues which arise in new immigrant families.

Mr. Lowe is a believer in educating the public, as well as other lawyers, on Canadian Immigration matters, and has written several articles on the topic in both English and Chinese. He has taught Immigration Law to lawyers and consultants in Canada and the USA, for the Continuing Legal Education Society, the Washington State Bar Association, he has taught a course on the Immigrant Investor Program to immigration lawyers and consultants in February, 1998 for the Immigration Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association in Vancouver.  In addition, he has spoken to groups in Canada, the USA, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore about Canada's business Immigration program.

Mr. Lowe is an active member of the Immigration Subsection of the CBA, and has worked with the Subsection to prepare submissions regarding changes to Immigration laws and regulations, including those of the Legislative Review Committee Report.

In the course of his practice, Mr. Lowe has traveled extensively throughout Asia. In 1993, he accompanied Mr. Gordon Campbell, then mayor of Vancouver, on a trade mission from Vancouver to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, and brought the Honourable Dwain Lingenfelter, then Deputy Premier of Saskatchewan, to Indonesia in 1996.

Mr. Lowe also understands the concerns of the Business community. As a business lawyer with a business degree, he understands the nature of international trade, and the needs of the Asian business community. He has participated in groups such as the Canada Taiwan Trade Association, the Taiwanese Entrepreneurs and Investors Association, the China Canada Trade Council, and the Hong Kong Canada Trade Association

Mrs Anyakwo is a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria called to the bar in 1982.  She was also admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 1998. Mrs Anyakwo studied in Nigeria and the UK, obtaining her Bachelor's degree in law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1981 and her Masters degree in law from the University of Cambridge, England in 1984. Mrs Anyakwo has secured many academic awards and distinctions , including the Federal Government of Nigeria merit award for academic excellence at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.
She is presently a partner of the law firm, Legal Partnership Consult, Lagos, Nigeria, and Strategic Legal Consultant to the law firm, Lowe & Company in Vancouver, Canada. She has at various times been responsible for setting practice objectives, strategic market planning, and client service and development.

Mrs Anyakwo has extensive experience in providing legal and commercial advice to clients, and has a strong commercial sense gained in over 20 years of practice. She has worked largely in the area of international joint ventures and strategic alliances, and has assisted may foreign company's in their business affairs in Nigeria. She has also worked extensively in British immigration law and practice.

Notable assignments include acting as counsel to a Canadian technology firm in supply of US$15 million telecommunications equipment to a Nigerian company, and acting as retained counsel to several multi national organizations in Nigeria. Mrs Anyakwo has also served as representative of foreign investors in several Nigerian companies.

Andrew Wlodyka, Barrister & Solicitor, was born in Canada of Polish parents. He graduated from UBC with Bachelor's degrees in International Relations and in Law, and was called to the Bar in B.C. in 1978.

Andrew represents individuals and corporations in all aspects of Canadian immigration, including independent, family and business immigration, Work and Student Permits, and visitor visas.

Andrew heads the litigation team at Lowe & Company, and he handles Appeals at all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Federal Court of Canada, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Andrew's expertise in the immigration and citizenship area has been recognized by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory (www.lexpert.ca), and he is repeatedly recommended to clients by his colleagues in the legal profession.
